Spring 2006
In no particular order, I present you with pictures from the spring of 2006! And seriously, I am NOT taking enough pictures lately. Most of these were taken by Emm or Vanessa as marked, and even with those there just aren't many from the past few months, so nag me, people!
One day Emm and I ate delicious Tomato Ramen in Amemura, and when we stepped out of the restauarant, we found that we'd accidentally stumbled on a free concert by AKB48, a massive girl group. We don't really have any particular interest in them, but hey, when you're suddenly faced with a giant pop culture creation like this, you get to wanna take photos. Here are Emm's.

When the cherry trees blossomed, Emm, Alyson, Vanessa and I celebrated appropriately by having a picnic in Osaka Jo Kouen. We brought snacks and alcohol, and during the course of the evening had fun talking with a ton of other random drunken picnickers. The last two photos in this batch are from my camera; the rest are Vanessa's.
Here are several pictures of omrice that we've ordered at a maid cafe. The maids will write whatever we ask for in ketchup on the omrice we order! The face is what I got when I asked for a portrait of Inocchi from V6.
One of my schools had a karuta tournament for all the second-year students in the gym. A teacher read famous poems, the second halves of which were written on cards. The kids could either wait for the teacher to get to the second half and just look for what she read, or if they had the poems memorized, they could start looking immediately when she started. They just had to grab the correct card the fastest and they got to keep it. I joined one group and actually managed to get a few of the cards.
Here are a ton of pictures of my apartment, which I took mostly to document how CLEAN it's gotten!! For me, this is an impressive thing.
Okay, here's where things get really random, and you see just how much I've been failing at my duty to take pictures of everything. For example, there's only ONE photo from the Tokio concert! Anyway, the following are pictures of:
- a dude who stole my keitai and then took pictures of himself on it before returning it... wtf?!
- a beautiful birthday cake Alyson made for Hina
- a sign that was up on a pachinko parlor near my apartment, featuring some of our favorite yoshimoto comedians
- Adam, Alyson, Sho, me, Yosuke, and Kazu at the Kansai Gaidai graduation this year
- Emm and me and Al dressed up Ai no Apron style for the Tokio concert
- five pics of karaoke (apparently while we were doing that, Wakana was somewhere between Osaka and Fukuoka riding the same shinkansen as Tamura-san from Kirin - AAAAAAAAAAAA)
- the English Speaking Society club at my current middle school
