March - May

Here is a tiny section of pictures covering three months. I did a lot of other stuff then, including going to the awesome Osaka aquarium, but I forgot my camera that day, and apparently many other days as well.

In March, we went to see Tokio live at Osaka-Jo Hall, and they were INCREDIBLE. I'm not sure when we decided that we had to go dressed up crazily, but once we got it into our heads, we just couldn't give up the idea. I ended up going as a nurse, in honor of Mabo (Tokio's drummer), who played the title role in the fall dorama "Nurseman." Alyson, meanwhile, was dressed up as Toraji, a character played by Taichi (Tokio's keyboardist) in the movie Fantastipo. Fantastipo hadn't actually come out in theatres yet, but we had the photo book and knew exactly what his outfit looked like. It took a lot of work, but Alyson managed to make a really good duplicate! My nurse outfit is obviously awesome because of the REAL stethoscope Mom sent me! Here we are along with Jamie (Meg also came, but after lunch) before the concert. Yes, we walked around Osaka like that. Because we are awesome and we don't care.

Then in March, we went to see Fantastipo. It was only playing in one theatre anywhere nearby, in Osaka. This time we were both dressed as the main characters, brothers named Toraji and Haiji. Haiji is played by my favorite Kinki Kid, so I dressed as him. Near the movie theatre, there was a temporary exhibit displaying the actual costumes worn by Taichi and Tsuyoshi in the movie. We took a lot of pictures, and even had some taken of us in our home-assembled costumes! Also attending the movie with us were Emmalee, Dani, and Yuuki. Yuuki was one of perhaps three guys going to see the movie. You had to work hard to get tickets months in advance, so it's no surprise that not so many boys went through that much effort to see a Johnny's movie. But the movie was GOOD, Johnny's or no.

The next big event (that I have pictures of, anyway) was Alyson's birthday party in April! We started off with karaoke. Present were Misako and her friend, whose name I've forgotten; Jamie; Yuuki; Dani; Adam; and me. We got one of the cool rooms with a stage and two screens... I love how you can see exactly what they're singing here. Alyson and Misako are singing "Kanishimi Blue" by the KinKi Kids, and later she's singing the Kizaradzu Cat's song with Dani.

After karaoke, we went to a fabulous yakiniku restaurant in Umeda. It's quite expensive, but all you can eat AND drink, and it's DELICIOUS.

The following week we went to go see the FABULOUS Kudo-kan written/directed movie, "Mayonaka no Yaji-san Kita-san" starring Nagase Tomoya and Nakamura Shichinosuke. And obviously couldn't resist taking a picture with this lovely sign.
